Our Story
Elite Site Development was founded by Nick Pandolfo — a third-generation contractor who grew up on job sites and turned that foundation into one of Connecticut's most trusted site development firms.
With over 15 years operating as Elite Excavation CT, the company has evolved into a full-service site development firm now known as Elite Site Development (ESD). The rebrand reflects the scope of what we do today — far beyond excavation.
Nick recently hired his first project manager, marking a new chapter of growth. But the core philosophy remains the same: self-perform everything, maintain one standard of quality, and deliver every project with the same hands-on approach that built our reputation.

An $8M apartment complex was receiving bids of $12M to $15M from site contractors. Nick reviewed the geotechnical reports and found that other contractors had misread — or intentionally inflated — the contamination levels.
By properly interpreting the data and recommending targeted testing rather than blanket remediation, the project came in millions under the inflated bids.
